Edr Fittings produces any kind of detail in super alloys with
a high nickel content such as the best known Inconel ® using
the investment casting process.
After appropriate melting tricks and specific heat treatments,
this special alloy acquires an excellent endurance to
oxidation and very elevated mechanical specifications even at
high operative temperatures
The Inconel® belongs to the family of heat-resistant
superalloys (HRSA) with an astenitic structure made of
nickelchromium in variable percentages from 14% to 72% for
nickel and from 14% to 29% for chromium.
Thanks to this particular composition this alloy has an
excellent endurance to oxidation at high temperature and to
corrosion; due to these characteristics it is applied in the
production of parts for gas turbines in the oil industry, in
the automotive and aerospace fields and in the medical sector.
In the automotive-motorsport field, Edr Fittings produces
particular elements which are subject to thermal and
structural stress, such as: exhaust manifolds, injector
fittings, high performances turbine parts and petrolchemical
burners.
