Investment casting process requires several steps, mostly
manual operations, which make this technology economically
advantageous in the countries where labour costs are
restrained.
From an economical point of view, one of the advantages of
this technology is the low-cost initial investment in creating
the moulds for wax production althought facing particularly
complex geometries or undercuts that are difficult to achieve.
Moreover, the high repeatability of the process, the
opportunity to achieve narrower tolerances compared to
castings with sand technology and the superior quality of the
surface finishing, make this process the perfect solution for
the production of details with a low weight even starting from
small batches.
